I really wasn't sure how Jenny was going to take the whole partner with other people thing. But I told her it really would be to her benefit to get experience with others. Of course, I had in mind that she would do that in our usual evening class, but she did me one better.
My schedule works out in such a way that I can only make the last evening class. We were going to that one together. However, she can make the morning class if she wishes and yesterday she went. I was very surprised. She's never done that before.
The morning class is a very high level affair. Two shihan and other upper level people (including the woman above) all practice at 6:45 a.m. I had once joked to my wife that I didn't want her to go to that class, since she would become much better than me. Well, I guess she remembered that off-hand remark and decided to show ME. Haha. You go girl.
She was all excited about it. "Oh, I practiced with this black belt and she said I was doing very well and now I got the point about nikkyo and I learned a lot and I really liked that class..."
So it's all working out... Sort of.
